Spend some peaceful time in the historic Old City Cemetery. The cemetery was established in 1806. Visit five small museums in the cemetery and learn the stories of nearly 20,000 people buried there. The wonderful 27-acre public garden attracts more than 33,000 visitors annually. The grounds are also filled with a wide variety of native and heirloom plants. This garden also features the most extensive public collection of antique roses in the state of Virginia.
